Volunteers are being sought to support the Mark Weese Memorial Jamboree, which takes place this weekend on Jan. 3 and is expected to bring more than 200 under-7 hockey players to Wallaceburg.
The jamboree is one of the Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association’s most anticipated events of the season, with an emphasis on teamwork and fun for young players. Organizers say the weekend will feature a full slate of games and activities as teams from outside the community visit Wallaceburg.
Association officials note the event relies heavily on volunteer support and are encouraging parents, family members and community supporters to lend a hand. They say any amount of time volunteered helps ensure a positive experience for players and visiting teams.

.
Organizers thanked the community for its continued support, saying the success of the jamboree depends on volunteers and their commitment to creating a memorable weekend for the youngest players in the program.
