The Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association is thanking players, families and volunteers following another successful Mark Weese Memorial Jamboree, held in honour and memory of the late Mark Weese.
Organizers said the event brought together Wallaceburg Lakers and visiting teams from Dresden, Mooretown and Petrolia for a full day of hockey, celebrating teamwork, fun and memorable firsts on the ice. Weese, like many of the participants, was a proud U7 Laker, and the jamboree continues to honour his legacy within the local hockey community.
The association expressed appreciation for its coaching staff, noting the event would not have been possible without their support throughout the day. Thanks were also extended to raffle prize donors, ice sponsors and bench sponsors for their continued backing of the jamboree.
Special recognition was given to the many volunteers who helped with set-up, ticket sales, food service and cheering from the stands. Organizers said their efforts remain at the heart of the annual event.
With another successful jamboree completed, the Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association said it is already looking ahead to next year’s Mark Weese Memorial Jamboree.
