The Sydenham Community Curling Club is set to host its second annual Women’s Bonspiel on Jan. 10, bringing together curlers, supporters and community members for a full day of sport, music and fundraising.
The event will celebrate women’s curling while supporting a good cause, with proceeds benefiting the local women’s shelter and the curling club. Organizers say the bonspiel is designed as both a competitive and social day, encouraging participants to enjoy time with friends and family while giving back to the community.
Along with on-ice action, the day will include catered meals and live entertainment, creating an atmosphere that extends beyond the rink. A live auction will also take place in support of the charitable goals of the event.
Teams and individuals are invited to take part or attend portions of the day, with options available for curling, dinner or the evening dance. Organizers note the event is open to all ages, with special incentives aimed at encouraging broad community participation.
