Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old man from Tupperville has been charged following an intimate partner violence investigation in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said officers responded to a report on Jan. 9. An investigation determined that multiple incidents involving a 30-year-old woman from Chatham occurred between July 2024 and January 2026. Police allege the incidents included physical assaults, including one in which the victim was choked during a dispute.
The accused was charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.
