Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a historical intimate partner assault investigation.
On Jan. 12, 2026, at approximately 2:39 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault that occurred on Oct. 31, 2025. The investigation determined the incident involved a 41-year-old man from Harwich Township and a 48-year-old victim from Chatham. Police also learned of additional historical assault incidents in which injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, police laid one count of assault and issued a warrant for the accused’s arrest.
On Jan. 13, 2026, at approximately 3:54 p.m., the accused was located and arrested on Chatham Street in Blenheim. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23, 2026.
