Our friend Lynn Labadie showed us this throwback pressure cooker, which was made in Wallaceburg!
Lynn said she received it as a gift from her grandmother, Violet Furtah.
She said she believes her grandfather worked at the Presto plant and that is how her grandmother acquired the cooker.
Lynn said remembers her grandmother used to cook in it all of the time, but she hasn’t.
“I’m scared to death of the thing,” she said.
“They can explode if you don’t know what you’re doing with it.”
