Chatham-Kent police are urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel after a section of Queen’s Line was closed due to dangerously icy road conditions. The closure is in place between Bloomfield Road and Merlin Town at the roundabout.
Police warn that icy conditions are creating hazardous driving conditions and that road surfaces may change rapidly. Motorists are being asked to stay off the roads if possible. Those who must travel are advised to drive with extreme caution, reduce speed, and allow extra space between vehicles.
