Sarnia woman held after alleged release order breaches

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Sarnia woman is being held in custody following an arrest for allegedly failing to comply with court-ordered release conditions.

Chatham-Kent police say bail compliance officers arrested the woman in Sarnia at about 2:10 p.m. on Jan. 28. The woman had previously been charged in May 2025 with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and was released following a court appearance later that month under a Form 11 release order with conditions.

Police said the conditions prohibited her from attending certain addresses and required her to remain at her residence except for court appearances. On Jan. 22, the woman was required to attend criminal court in Chatham. Monitoring information later indicated she allegedly attended locations she was prohibited from visiting.

After receiving reports from Recovery Science Corporation, officers attempted to locate the woman and later arrested her at her residence in Sarnia.

The 49-year-old Sarnia woman was transported to Chatham-Kent police headquarters, where she remains in custody pending a bail hearing. She has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
