Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 46-year-old Kingsville man has been arrested in connection with a break and enter investigation involving an abandoned property in Blenheim.
Chatham-Kent Police Service say officers originally responded to a report of a break and enter on Four Rod Road, where an abandoned building had been entered on multiple occasions in March 2025. Police allege copper wire and metal piping were removed from the basement during the incidents.
Through the investigation, officers identified the accused, who was also subject to an ankle monitoring condition at the time. Charges of break and enter to commit an indictable offence and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 were laid, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Jan. 30, 2026, shortly before 9:50 a.m., Essex County OPP located and arrested the man in Essex County on the outstanding warrant. He was returned to Chatham-Kent, transported to police headquarters and later released with a scheduled court appearance on Feb. 26, 2026.
