Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham man was arrested following a report of an unwanted person at a restaurant in Chatham.
On Feb. 6, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a call at a restaurant on Grand Avenue West. Police learned that the individual had attended the restaurant on multiple occasions and had previously failed to pay for meals.
Officers located the 46-year-old male and advised him that he was not welcome on the property. He was arrested for trespassing under the Trespass to Property Act and later released unconditionally with a provincial offence notice for trespass to property.
