Huron Shores Area Transit promotes monthly pass, outlines fares and rider guidelines

Huron Shores Area Transit is encouraging riders to save on travel costs by using its monthly pass, which offers unlimited trips for a flat fee.

Regular fares remain in place for individual rides, with local trips costing $6, long-distance trips $12, and travel between Sarnia or London and Goderich priced at $20. Riders can pay using cash or an HSAT Smart Card.

Transit officials say all pets must remain in a carrier while on board. Buses are equipped with racks that can hold up to two bicycles. Passengers with disabilities who rely on service animals are permitted to travel with them, provided the animals are clearly identified, such as with a vest or harness, and remain under the owner’s control at all times.

Children aged 12 and under can ride for free when accompanied by an adult, a policy aimed at making travel more affordable for families.

Riders can stay informed about service updates and interruptions through the transit service’s Facebook page.

HSAT operates three routes serving Lambton Shores, Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, South Huron, Bluewater and Plympton-Wyoming, with connections to Sarnia, London and Goderich.
