Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Six individuals are facing multiple charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Chatham that led to the seizure of drugs, a firearm and cash.
Police said members of the Emergency Response Team executed a warrant at a residence on Sarah Crescent at about 6:11 p.m. on Feb. 19, 2026.
As a result, six people – ranging in age from 20 to 36, including one individual from Brampton and the others from Chatham – were arrested for possession of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
A search of the residence by the intelligence unit resulted in the seizure of 354 grams of methamphetamine, 186 grams of cocaine and 69 grams of fentanyl. Officers also seized a loaded Glock 26 Gen 5 9mm handgun, digital scales, packaging materials, a debt list, Canadian currency and counterfeit Canadian currency.
Police estimate the street value of the seized drugs at approximately $53,640.
All accused have been charged with multiple offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, as well as several firearm-related offences under the Criminal Code. Additional charges in the investigation include possession of counterfeit currency and possession of a controlled substance. Some of the accused also face charges of failing to comply with court orders.
All six individuals were held in custody pending bail hearings.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service says it remains committed to disrupting illegal drug activity and removing firearms from the community. Police are asking anyone with information related to drug or firearm activity to contact investigators or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
