Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 66-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing charges after police say he was found hiding inside a residence on Wallace Street.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of a suspicious person at approximately 12:06 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2026. Investigation revealed a man had been seen entering the home and leaving shortly after.
Officers located an unsecured rear window and entered the residence, where they found the man inside.
He was arrested and charged with unlawfully being in a dwelling house. The accused was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on March 25, 2026.
