Residents are invited to welcome the upcoming spring season at a community plant swap hosted by the Chatham-Kent Public Library.
The event is set to take place March 14 at the Chatham branch, where participants can exchange houseplants at the Community Living Café. Organizers say plant drop-off will run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the swap beginning at 11 a.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring plant cuttings, sprouts or offshoots in containers that are easy to transport.
Members of the Chatham Horticultural Society will be on hand to answer questions about plant care and to provide information about their work in the community, including the benefits of membership.
Library staff will also showcase gardening resources available through the library system and share details about an upcoming seed library initiative.
