OPP officials allege: One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in the Township of Plympton-Wyoming.
An officer with the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop on Oil Heritage Road near Aberarder Line at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2026, while on general patrol.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old from Plympton-Wyoming was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
Police said a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on March 25, 2026.
The Lambton County OPP said it remains committed to taking impaired drivers off the roads through enforcement and public education, reminding drivers that no amount of alcohol or drugs in a person’s system is safe when driving.
