The Municipality of Chatham-Kent says the first court appearance related to York1’s application is scheduled for March 17 at the Chatham Superior Court.
The municipality says the initial appearance is procedural in nature and will not involve a hearing on the merits of the application.
Instead, the session is expected to establish a timeline and process for how the matter will proceed through the court.
At this stage, the court is expected to set deadlines for the exchange of materials between parties and outline timelines for any cross-examinations that may be required.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent says it remains actively engaged in the process and will continue to participate in all required legal steps.
