No charges after suspicious activity reported at vacant Chatham building

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Four youths were cautioned after police investigated a report of suspicious activity at a vacant commercial building on Raleigh Street.

Police say flashlights were reportedly seen inside the building on the evening of Feb. 27.

Officers located four youths – two 17-year-olds and two 14-year-olds – nearby. Investigators determined no entry had been gained, no damage occurred and nothing was stolen.

All four were warned about accessing vacant properties.
