Chatham man charged after probation violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 37-year-old Chatham man has been charged after police responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residential building.

Chatham-Kent police say officers were called at approximately 8:30 p.m. on March 6, 2026, regarding a man loitering and refusing to leave the common area of a building.

Police say officers located the man, who was bound by a probation order requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order before being released with a future court date.
