Thamesville man charged after alleged breach of release order

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 22-year-old Thamesville man has been charged after police responded to a report of an unresponsive person in a restaurant washroom.

Chatham-Kent police say officers were called at approximately 10 p.m. on March 4, 2026, to a restaurant in Blenheim.

Police say officers located the man and confirmed he did not require medical assistance. Further investigation determined he was bound by a release order and was violating a curfew condition.

The man was arrested and charged with failure to comply with a release order.

He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he was processed and held for bail.
