The River of Lights Frost Fest has received a Together CK Grant, organizers say, a boost that will help the winter event continue to grow for residents of Wallaceburg and across Chatham-Kent.
In a statement posted by the River of Lights committee, organizers said the funding will support the continued development of the festival, which has become a seasonal attraction in the community.
“We’re excited to share that the River of Lights Frost Fest has been awarded a Together CK Grant! This support means so much to us as we continue to grow this event for the enjoyment of Wallaceburg and all of Chatham-Kent,” the committee said.
Organizers credited community members, businesses and volunteers for helping the event expand each year.
“Our community and partners are the reason this festival keeps getting brighter each year. To every individual and business who has donated, volunteered, or championed this event, thank you! Your generosity helps make our winter season a little more magical for everyone,” the committee said.
