Chatham man arrested for probation breach after attending residence

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 37-year-old Chatham man was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly breaching a probation order.

Chatham-Kent police said officers were called March 12, 2026, at about 4 a.m. after receiving a report that a man had attended a residence where he was not welcome and the complainant wanted him removed.

Officers identified the man as being in breach of a probation order by attending the residence in connection with previous intimate partner violence charges.

He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing and held for a bail hearing.
