OPP officials allege: A traffic complaint from a member of the public led to impaired driving charges in Plympton-Wyoming last week, Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police say.
Officers received a report of a possible impaired driver at approximately 7:15 p.m. on March 6, 2026, in the area of London Line and Forest Road. Police later located the vehicle on Oil Heritage Road north of London Line and conducted a traffic stop.
Following the investigation, a 59-year-old Warwick Township resident was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 milligrams or more.
Police issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for seven days as required by law. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on April 13, 2026.
Lambton OPP thanked the member of the public who reported the suspected impaired driver and reminded residents to report suspicious activity or impaired driving by calling 1-888-310-1122.
