OPP officials allege: Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate following an arrest involving Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say the incident occurred shortly after 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when officers arrested an individual in relation to an incident. While in custody, the individual required medical attention and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Because the Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate, the OPP says it cannot provide further details about the incident.
