Wind warning
Environment Canada has issued a yellow wind warning for Chatham-Kent, with strong southwest winds expected to develop this morning as a cold front moves through the area. Wind gusts could reach up to 90 km/h from this morning through the afternoon before shifting to the west and easing slightly later in the day. Westerly winds with gusts up to 70 km/h are expected to continue into Tuesday morning. Local utility outages are possible, and damage to roofs, fences, tree branches or soft shelters may occur. Residents are advised to secure loose objects and continue monitoring forecasts and alerts from Environment Canada.
