Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 16-year-old boy from Blenheim is facing a weapons charge following a disturbance involving a group of youths.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a report of a disturbance on McGregor Street in Blenheim at about 9:29 p.m. on March 15.
Police said a group of teens was causing a disturbance and one individual was seen brandishing a knife. Officers attended the area and located the group on John Street North.
Following the investigation, the youth was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with a court date scheduled for May 6, 2026.
