Wallaceburg Christian School is hosting an online auction this week to help support its operations and continued growth.
The fundraiser began March 16 at 9 a.m. EDT and is scheduled to run until March 20 at 9 p.m. EDT, with extended bidding available. As of the latest update, the campaign has raised $4,270 toward a $5,000 goal, reaching 85.4 per cent.
The school says it relies on tuition and donations to fund its programs, as it does not receive government support. Proceeds from the auction will go toward maintaining and expanding its academic offerings, as well as supporting a growing student population and facility needs.
“It is our vision at WCS to see students discover God’s world through an exemplary curriculum where learning and Christ meet,” the school said in a statement.
“We are committed to see students develop their God-given gifts through their academics, extra-curricular activities, and school events. Through intentional partnerships with our community, we will inspire students to dedicate their lives to Christ’s service.”
The school noted that increased enrolment and building expansion are driving the need for additional funding.
“Proceeds from these auctions will go toward helping the school to continue to provide its students with an academically excellent education, as our school is growing both in students as well as physical building,” the statement said.
Wallaceburg Christian School serves students from junior kindergarten through Grade 8 and has been part of the community for more than 60 years.
“We are a school that has been around more than 60 years and we are growing both in students AND building, God is good,” the school said.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported WCS over the years and continue to support us and pray for us.”
