Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent Police Service say a man is facing an assault charge following an incident on Berry Street.
Police responded to a 911 hang-up call on March 18, 2026, at approximately 3 p.m. and determined that a 32-year-old man and a youth had been involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation. No additional medical attention was required.
As a result of the investigation, the man was charged with one count of assault. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of June 29, 2026.
