OPP officials allege: A Windsor resident is facing a stunt driving charge after a traffic stop on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.
Elgin Ontario Provincial Police say an officer stopped a westbound passenger vehicle on the highway at approximately 7:20 a.m. on March 23, 2026, after it was recorded travelling 162 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone.
A 24-year-old was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with performing a stunt due to excessive speed.
Police are reminding drivers to obey traffic laws and report dangerous or impaired driving. Anyone with concerns is urged to call 911 or contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
