OPP officials allege: Members of the Essex County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fire at a commercial property in the community of Comber.
Police say officers, along with the Lakeshore Fire Department, responded to a report of a commercial structure fire on Industrial Drive at approximately 12:58 a.m. on March 29, 2026.
No injuries were reported.
The fire has been deemed suspicious, and the OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified and is assisting.

Police are asking residents and businesses in the surrounding area to review any available security or surveillance footage for suspicious activity around the time of the incident, noting that any relevant information may assist investigators.
