CK Pride launches housing survey to better understand 2SLGBTQIA+ experiences in Chatham-Kent

A local organization is asking residents to share their housing experiences as part of an effort to better understand challenges faced by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Chatham-Kent.

CK Pride announced the launch of a new survey aimed at gathering information on housing realities, including barriers, gaps and opportunities to improve supports and inform future advocacy.

“Housing plays a critical role in safety, stability, and well-being,” the organization said in a release, noting the initiative is intended to better understand the experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in the community.

“We know that housing impacts all of us, but experiences are not the same for everyone,” said the board of directors of CK Pride. “This survey is an opportunity for people to share what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change.”

The survey is open to anyone in Chatham-Kent, with a focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ experiences. CK Pride said responses will help guide future partnerships, advocacy efforts and service development.

The organization said all responses will remain confidential.
