Two charged with breaching court orders in Chatham disturbance

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people are facing charges after allegedly breaching court-imposed conditions during a disturbance call.

Chatham-Kent police say officers responded April 3, 2026, at approximately 10:22 p.m. to a residence in Chatham.

Investigators say a man and woman, both bound by conditions not to have contact with each other, were found inside the residence together.

Police say the man was in breach of both a release order and a probation order.

A 31-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with a probation order. A 23-year-old Chatham woman was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.

Both were released with conditions and scheduled court dates.
