Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 62-year-old woman from Chatham has been ticketed following a brief police pursuit.
Police say an officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Charing Cross Road on April 12 at about 6:31 a.m. The vehicle initially pulled over but drove off twice more before a pursuit was initiated and then quickly terminated for public safety.
The vehicle pulled over shortly afterward. The driver was issued Provincial Offence Notices for speeding and failing to stop.
Police remind motorists that failing to stop for emergency lights is a serious offence and urge drivers to pull over safely and immediately.
