Reta Lucier

Reta Catherine Lucier, a former resident of Wallaceburg Retirement Residence, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on April 13th, 2026 in her 97th year.

Reta was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Miron) Cartier.

Beloved wife of the late John Lucier (2002).

Mother of Elaine Anderson (Wayne), Reginald Lucier (Edith) and the late Lorne Lucier (2013) and his wife Shelley (Dave Lord).

Loving grandmother of Joe, Lisa, Mike, Shawn, Janine, Scott, Amy, Eric, Tracy, Randy, Jessica and great grandmother of 18.

Predeceased by her sisters Jean Campbell (Lloyd), Mary Demers (Ray) and Norma (Albert Hinnegan and Bill Boyd). Thought fondly by her nieces and nephews.

Reta worked with her husband John, enjoying the farming life. She particularly enjoyed gardening, baking, the company of friends for outings and a pleasant game of euchre. Visits with her grandchildren always gave her great joy.

A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg on Thursday, April 16 at 11 AM. Public visiting will be held at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg in the hour prior, from 10 – 10:45 AM.

A private family burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
