Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 32-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is facing multiple charges after police say a stolen vehicle was recovered minutes after it was reported taken from a business in Wallaceburg.

At approximately 3:55 p.m., officers located the vehicle travelling northbound on McNaughton Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested at the scene.
Police said the investigation determined the woman was operating the vehicle while under suspension. A search of the recovered vehicle also led to the discovery of property belonging to another victim that had been reported stolen earlier.
The accused is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and driving while under suspension.
