CKHA named to Forbes list of Canada’s Best Employers for third consecutive year

CHATHAM, Ont. — The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has been named to the Forbes Canada’s Best Employers list for the third consecutive year, earning recognition for its workplace environment in 2026.

Now in its 11th year, the ranking is presented in partnership with Statista and highlights organizations across the country that demonstrate strong workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

To determine this year’s recipients, Forbes and Statista conducted research that included an independent survey of more than 37,000 employees nationwide.

“Focusing on our staff and fostering a positive work environment helps us build stronger teams, deliver better care, and achieve lasting success,” said Justin Turkington, CKHA Chief Human Resources Officer. “We are proud of the supports we have in place for our people — including wellness resources, opportunities for learning and growth, and a strong focus on both psychological and physical safety. When our teams feel supported and valued, it strengthens our ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and families.”

Organizations were required to have at least 500 employees to be considered. Of roughly 1,300 companies evaluated, only 300 made the final list.

CKHA President and CEO Adam Topp said the recognition reflects the organization’s workforce.

“We are pleased to receive this recognition for the third year running and remain proud of the incredible team we have at CKHA,” he said. “Our employees are at the heart of everything we do. This award is a direct reflection of our ongoing dedication to maintaining a workplace where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered.”

Statista publishes global industry rankings and company listings in partnership with media organizations, drawing on data from its business intelligence platform, which includes statistics, market research and consumer surveys.
