OPP officials alege: A 26-year-old Enniskillen resident is facing impaired driving-related charges after a traffic stop in Warwick Township, police said.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Lambton County detachment stopped a vehicle on Confederation Line shortly before 9 p.m. on April 11.
Police said the investigation led to the arrest of Brayden Peer, who is charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence and Control Act with operation while impaired — blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), speeding one to 49 kilometres per hour over the posted limit, and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
The accused received a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Police said the accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on May 6.
The OPP is reminding the public to report impaired driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints about impaired, aggressive or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.
