Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 50-year-old man is facing charges following an alleged assault in Chatham, police say.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a report of an assault on Merritt Avenue on April 20 at about 6:41 p.m.
Police allege a physical altercation occurred between the man and a 31-year-old woman, both from Chatham.
The man has been charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm.
He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a court date of June 1.
