Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 31-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is facing charges following an impaired driving investigation early Tuesday morning.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded on April 28, 2026, at approximately 1:33 a.m. to a report from a gas station employee on Park Avenue East about a woman slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot.
Police say officers arrived and found a female in the driver’s seat showing signs of impairment.
After identifying herself, the woman was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Police say that following several demands for testing, she refused to comply with further testing procedures.
The accused was arrested and later released on a Form 9 with a future court date. Her vehicle was towed and her driver’s licence has been suspended.
