Wallaceburg man charged after theft at Chatham medical facility

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Wallaceburg man is facing multiple charges following a reported theft at a medical facility in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police say they responded on May 3, 2026, to a report of a theft on Margaret Avenue.

It is alleged that an individual entered the facility and removed personal property belonging to another person. The property was later located and recovered.

Following an investigation, police arrested a 51-year-old Wallaceburg man in connection with the incident.

He was transported to police headquarters and later released with a future court date of Aug. 10, 2026.

The man has been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.
