David Hyatt has filed his nomination papers and will be running for one of two Council spots in Wallaceburg.
Hyatt joins Brendan Authier as the first two candidates to put their names forward in Ward 5.
Both incumbent Councillors in Wallaceburg, Carmen McGregor and Aaron Hall, have stated publicly they won’t be seeking re-election.
Kirk Hooker also filed his nomination papers and will be running for the lone Council spot representing North West Kent.
Hooker joins John Cummings as the first two candidates to put their names forward in Ward 4.
Current North Kent Councillor Jamie McGrail has stated she won’t be running, while Rhonda Jubenville has stated she’ll be seeking a second term.
Both Hyatt and Hooker filed their nomination papers on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
