The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority is accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program aimed at supporting students pursuing careers in environmental fields.
The conservation authority said up to four scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school students continuing their education in environmental disciplines, including biology, ecology, geography, forestry, agriculture and fish and wildlife studies.
Two scholarships are valued at $1,000, while two additional scholarships are valued at $500.
Eligible applicants include students living within the SCRCA watershed or attending secondary schools in Sarnia, Forest, Petrolia, Wallaceburg, Dresden and Strathroy.
The scholarships were established in memory of Archibald W. Campbell, Tony Stranak and Mary Jo Arnold, and are funded through donations to trust funds managed by the St. Clair Region Conservation Foundation.
“These scholarships are an investment in the future of our region,” said Ken Phillips, general manager of the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority. “By supporting students who are passionate about the environment, we’re helping to foster the next generation of conservationists who will protect, restore, and sustain our natural environment for years to come.”
Applications can be obtained by contacting the conservation authority at 519-245-3710 or through the SCRCA website, here.
The application deadline is May 31, 2026.
