OPP seeking witness following fail-to-remain collision in St. Clair Township

OPP officials allege: Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking assistance from the public following a fail-to-remain collision in St. Clair Township.

Police said officers with the Lambton County detachment responded to a two-vehicle collision on Main Street in Courtright on May 9, 2026, at about 10:15 a.m.

Investigation determined an orange four-door sport utility vehicle allegedly reversed out of a driveway and struck a parked Dodge Ram pickup truck before fleeing the scene. Police said the vehicle was last seen travelling southbound on St. Clair Parkway.

According to police, a witness notified the owner of the damaged vehicle about the collision but left before officers arrived.

Police are seeking to identify and speak with the witness, along with any other individuals who may have witnessed the collision or have information related to the incident.
