OPP official allege: The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a break and enter at a business in Port Lambton that resulted in the theft of approximately $6,000 worth of power tools.
Members of the Lambton County detachment responded May 14 to a report of a break and enter at a business on Old River Road in Port Lambton.
Police said the investigation determined an unknown individual attended the property at approximately 2:45 a.m. on a bicycle while carrying a backpack. The suspect allegedly entered an outbuilding on the property and stole multiple power tools before leaving the area.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a black hoodie with a large white logo on the chest, a grey Carhartt jacket and black pants.
Police said the suspect was seen riding a grey bicycle with bright red handlebars.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding the incident, suspicious activity in the area, or the described bicycle is asked to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where callers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
