Beverley (Bev) Milton Moor passed away on May 25, 2026 at the age of 92 in Dresden, Ontario. Bev was born on October 31, 1933 in Chatham, Ontario to Milton and Uladeane (Russell) Moor.
Bev attended Chatham Vocational School. In his teens he developed a love for automobiles and helping his father with the lawn mower and locksmith business. He ventured out to Alberta but came back to Chatham to court his wife, Grace Jackson. They met at Erie Beach and were married in 1955. They moved to Wabash, Ontario and started a family creating a love story for over 66 years. Bev demonstrated those principles to love, honour and to cherish throughout their marriage.
Bev was a go getter in life, always on the move, building his own house, apprenticing as a machinist, owning a tool and die shop, starting two plastics companies and moving to Guelph, Beachville, Port Lambton and Dresden. Later in life, he answered the call to serve the Lord as a seventy and evangelist with Community of Christ. He was a devoted husband and father, always intent on being at family milestones, gatherings and reunions.
Bev’s qualities was a strong work ethic, overcoming obstacles, a sense of humour, helping others and advocating for the Lord. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, which brought him much joy. He persevered through life with his health challenges, always providing a positive “doing okay” response when asked.
Beloved husband of the late Grace Moor, loving father to the late Nancy Knight (Tom) of Dresden, Ken and Naomi Moor of Calgary, Susan and Ric Piacek of Dresden, Patricia and Rob Tonin of Cambridge, Bryce and Heather Moor of Plympton-Wyoming. A loving grandfather to Mike Knight (Dana); Sarah Hebert; the late Tricia Piacek, the late Carson Moor; Craig Piacek; Emma Law (James); Connor Moor (Mila Mezei); Kira Vibert (John); Rachel Anello (Giuseppe); Braden Moor and great grandchildren, Jackson Knight; Rowan, Ellie and Gwen Hebert, Harper and Payton Vibert.
Bev was a loving brother to his late sisters Barb and Jerry Morrison, the late Betty and Godfrey “Tiny” Bechard, the late Doris and Mark Stanlick, the late Doreen and Ron Armstrong, the late Janice and Alec Vadovic, brother Dennis and Joan Moor and brother-in-law to the late Jim and Irene Jackson.
Forever missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1 pm at the Community of Christ Church in Wabash, Ontario. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the hall where friends are welcome to visit with the family at 2:00 PM. A private family gathering for interment will be held separately at the Arnold Cemetery.
