Frank Eldon Dalgleish of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the age of 84. Frank was the son of the late Glen and Gertrude (Compeau) Dalgleish. Beloved husband of Darl-Ann (Haggerty). Loving father of Shirley Bartle of Guelph and Dwayne Dalgleish of Edmonton and stepfather of Elizabeth Sterling, Bradley Haggerty and the late Neil Haggerty. Brother of Art, Russell and the late Glen.
Frank was a retired OPP officer and former administrator of the Moose Lodge. He loved golf and took great pleasure in mowing the lawn on his riding mower. Social and kind with a good sense of humour, he was affectionately known by some as “Cranky Franky.” A true original, he was deeply loved by everyone who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday from 5-8pm and on Tuesday, June 2 at 10:30am for his funeral ceremony. Following cremation Frank will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery. All are invited to celebrate Frank’s life at the Moose Lodge (110 Duke St, Wallaceburg, ON N8A 1E3) on Saturday, July 18th from 1-5pm.
