On November 16, 2025, Richard P. Rivard took his final ride to heaven at the age of 82. He will be remembered by his wife Rita and his children Laurie (Tom) McLaughlin and Rob Rivard. Grandfather of Samuel and Greg. Richard is the son of the late Sam and Lena Rivard and will be fondly thought of by his siblings Gary Rivard, Beverly (Alan) Bryce, Mark Rivard and the late Curtis as well as by his many extended family. He will be remembered by many from his time working for LaFarge Red D Mix and for the years he rode with the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers known as “Chich”.
Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231). A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 465 (2 Stanley St, Merlin) from 1-4pm
