Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 39-year-old Chatham woman is facing an assault charge following an incident in the city on Monday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police said officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Paxton Drive at approximately 4:15 p.m. on June 1.
Investigators determined that a verbal argument escalated and one individual was punched.
A 39-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault.
She was released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.
