Fatal farm tractor incident near Plympton-Wyoming under investigation

OPP officials allege: A 74-year-old Warwick Township resident has died following an incident involving a farm tractor near Plympton-Wyoming.

Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police, along with Plympton-Wyoming Fire and Emergency Services and Lambton Emergency Medical Services, responded to a report of an incident involving a single farm tractor on Churchill Line near Minielly Road shortly before noon on June 11.

The 74-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed the intersection of Churchill Line and Minielly Road for several hours while investigators examined the scene.

The Lambton County OPP is continuing to investigate with assistance from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team.

Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
