Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 24-year-old Chatham man is facing an assault charge following an intimate partner violence investigation in Chatham.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence on Grand Avenue West at approximately 11:03 p.m. on June 11.
Police said an argument between intimate partners escalated, resulting in the female victim being grabbed by the arm and thrown to the ground. The victim suffered a minor injury to her knee.
As a result of the investigation, the 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault.
The accused was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 21, 2026.
