Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 19-year-old Chatham man has been charged with criminal harassment after police investigated a complaint involving allegations that a young woman had been repeatedly followed by her former boyfriend.
Chatham-Kent police said they received the complaint on June 15 at approximately 3:57 p.m., when a woman reported that her daughter had been repeatedly followed by her ex-boyfriend.
Following an investigation, officers said they established grounds for the man’s arrest and obtained a warrant.
Police arrested the accused on June 16 at approximately 10:20 a.m.
He was charged with criminal harassment and later released from Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 27, 2026.
